202 I really enjoy Liz Isaacson's books. However, I didn't like this one as much as I usually like her books. Owen and Natalie were high school sweethearts. They had planned to get married a couple months after graduating, then move to Nashville so Owen could pursue a career in country music. However, right after they graduated, Owen left town, without a word to anyone, and went to Nashville on his own. He later explained he did so because he felt trapped. Natalie texted him and emailed him but his replies were vague. Apparently he promised her he would come back for her. He never did. He made it big with his first album and got engaged to someone else. Since things happened, he didn't get married, and he ended up moving back to his hometown. He mended his relationship with his family and got on with his life, but he never even attempted to get in touch with Natalie. Seven years after he moved back, circumstances put he and Natalie together for the first time since he left after high school. The problem I had is that Owen claimed he felt bad about what he had done and had been trying to make things right, but he had been back in town for seven years and never tried to contact Natalie. That just didn't sit well with me. I'm glad things worked out for them, and the writing was great but I just didn't like that one part. It made Owen seem either cowardly or weak.
